The Iron Villages are 5 Lowlife villages involved in the mining and production or iron goods for use in the fight against the Tanu and Firvulag. They are clustered in the future vicinity of the French city of Nancy. Each had an open-pi mine and a simple smeltery inside a heavy log stockade. They are about 90 km north of Fort Rusty which is about half way to Hidden Springs.
- Iron Maiden - largest and storage depot for iron produced by the other villages with a naval-stores distillery

- Haute-Fourneauville - small, primitive blast furnace and rolling mill
- Vulcan - small, primitive blast furnace and rolling mill
