A polity is a governmental grouping within the Galactic Milieu formed around one of the six great racial "communities": Lylmik, Krondaku, Gi, Poltroyan, Simbiari, and most recently, Human. They are largely autonomous for ordinary government matters within their sphere of influence, but are supervised by the Galactic Concilium which includes representatives from each polity.
